GOODBYE PARTY
GOODBYE PARTY
Goodbye Party is a dark comedy short film created by filmmakers Sophie Lou and Nathan Pearson satirizing the desire for significance while exploring themes of isolation and imposter syndrome as they relate to the experience of marginalized identities. As the set decorator for production designer Sophia Uehara, Rose collected objects and furniture with a futuristic aesthetic to help create a cool yet sparse New York City apartment set in the not-too-distant future. Curating a playful and off-beat environment helped create a one of a kind world for character Rowan to exist in before shooting himself into space and leaving New York behind for good. Goodbye Party was an official selection of Fameline49 in San Francisco and won best Sci-Fi short film at NYFF.
