Rose McDonald is a production designer as well as a fiction, poetry, and screen writer working in Chicago, IL and Brooklyn, NY. Rose graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2020 with a BA in Cinema Arts + Sciences. She has extensive experience as a set decorator, designer, and prop stylist on commercials, short films, music videos, photo shoots, and feature films. Additionally, Rose has published fiction work in a literary magazine and writing credits for ScreenRant and V.Auteur Magazine.

Rose writes and designs based on a continual desire to understand the relationship between the self and space; how an environment reflects each person and how each person is a reflection of their environment. She is especially interested in subject matters relating to social justice issues, family relations, and the adolescent experience.
